Mr. Stewart

                                                                                                                  Mr. Stewart

                                                          My qualifications are as follows:
over 15 years experience teaching United States Marines
I have been teaching children at SMMS since 2001
Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University
Qualified, invited and joined Golden Key National Honor Society
MA Ed from University of Phoenix - Honor Grad
MA Ed Admin from Grand Canyon University

I have been teaching social studies at Santa Maria Middle School for over a dozen
and a half years. My students learn the necessities as prescribed by the state, as well
as basic life skills (such as following rules they don't like), which will help them
become successful in the real world for years to come.

On Tuesday afternoons (and one Saturday a month) I work with the Phoenix Police
Department to run our "Wake-Up" club, which is a community service program
for students, sponsored by the Phoenix Police Department, our local Neighborhood
Block Watch, Fowler District, and Santa Maria Middle School.

Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 2003-2017 I had the honor of hosting
a free "English Language" class that was open to anyone wanting to learn
the English language. This program used the self paced Rosetta Stone
software generously purchased by Santa Maria Middle School and the Fowler District
Office. Unfortunately, these classes were ended due to the lack of community interest.
