How Parents Can Help!

1. Check to make sure your child is doing his/her homework. Homework is assigned every Tuesday, then it is due the following Tuesday.

2. Ask your child what he/she is learning about in class. Ask him/her to show you an example of what that would look like and how he/she would solve the problem. Teaching someone else to do something is a great way to learn a topic with greater understanding.

3. Check for missing assignments. Missing assignment papers are given every Friday. Students can find copies of missing assignments in the "monkey box" in my classroom.

4. Practice math facts. Knowing your multiplication, division, subtraction and addition facts can make doing complex math a lot easier. Check the links section for fun ways to practice these.
